February 27, 2013 Wyoming lawmakers have settled their differences and passed a measure to allow the creation of a state lottery. The House and Senate had disagreed on how to spend the money that comes in from the lottery. Snow accumulations of 3 to 5 inches in the Casper area and 5 to 9 inches on Casper Mountain.

February 25, 2013 If the Legislature can stick to its schedule, it would mean lawmakers would finish on the 36th day of what was scheduled to be a 40-day session. Lawmakers plan to wrap up their general session Wednesday. The Wyoming House on Monday voted not to concur with the Senate on a bill that would allow a lottery and multi-state games such as Powerball in the state.

OFFICIALS WITH THE CASPER-NATRONA COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH DEPARTMENT SAY THE NUMBER OF FLU CASES IN THE CASPER AREA IS ON THE DECLINE. HOWEVER, HEALTH OFFICIALS ALSO SAY THAT, DESPITE THE DECLINING NUMBERS, MANY AREA FLU CASES REMAIN SEVERE.
