Casper Zombie Run Set For Saturday September 8th [VIDEO]

This 5-K course will wind through the trails near the Trail Center on Casper Mountain. There will be obstacles. There will be zombies. Train yourself well! Your survival depends on it!

Over 150 runners have signed up already, and to handle the crowd, the runners will be sent out in waves. The first wave will start at 10 AM. There will be waves of no more than 40 people every 6 minutes. The waves are open to everyone. The 11 AM will be the last wave and has no maximum participants. That means you could be running with 2 other people, it could mean you may be running with 100. It is primarily for those who may not care about timing and are just there to experience the event!

Each runner will be given a flag belt with two flags. The zombies will attempt to collect as many flags from runners as possible. Please keep in mind that this run is at altitude! Prepare your lungs! The first 200 people who register will be receive a free t-shirt and can be picked up AT the event! We will also have t-shirts for sale at the event. Prizes will be awarded for top finishers in each wave along with top all-around finisher. There will also be award prizes for best dressed volunteers, best dressed runners and more!

Spectators are allowed at the event however if you are not a registered participant, you can not be on the course! There will be a seating area for all of those who want to support their friends and family near the start/finish of the run. Also, there will be a FREE 12 & Under Children's Run. This will be approximately 1K. If your children wish to participate, make sure they are mentally ready. Zombies will not be "chasing" them however they will be "milling" about the course. There is no need to register for this race, it will be open to all who want to participate AFTER the last wave of the 5K race finishes (approximately between 12:45 - 1 PM).

Drive 5.4 miles South of Wyoming Boulevard on Casper Mountain Road Continue driving South on Circle Drive at the intersection of Micro Road approximately 0.9 miles. The Casper Mountain Trails Center will be located on the left or east side of the road.
