An 83 year old Casper woman is dead following a Tuesday morning collision on US Highway 20-26 59 miles west of Casper.

Wyoming Highway Patrol spokesman Sgt. Steve Townsend says Gloria D. Lesher was westbound at 7:35 am Tuesday when her 2005 Chevrolet Classic, for unknown reasons, drifted into the oncoming lane of traffic. Townsend says a 2007 Ford F-650 driven by 42 year old John Otto in the oncoming lane tried to avoid a collision by braking and steering to the left.

Townsend says Lesher's car hit Otto's pickup on the passenger side and then came to rest in the roadway. The Otto vehicle went off the north side of the roadway in a broadside slide and rolled one complete time. Otto, who was wearing a seat belt, survived the collision without serious injury. Lesher was life flighted to Wyoming Medical Center in Casper where she later died.
