The message seems to be working, but it bears repeating:

"We want everyone to find a safe ride home if they're going to drink too much,' Casper Police Sgt. Mike Ogden said Friday.

The Police Department issued a similar cautionary message last week before the Christmas holiday, and it received no reports of people driving under the influence, Ogden said.

The department deploys more officers for weekends such as this, Ogden said.

He had travel advice, too.

"If you're going to be traveling, keep an eye on the weather," Ogden said.

"Make sure you're going to leave in a timely manner so you don't have to hurry, and you can have a safe, happy holiday weekend," he said.
