Casper Police Investigating Attempted ATM Burglary

Police are looking into an attempted ATM burglary at a bank on Casper's east side.

Investigators say just before 4am on Monday, February 17th, a pickup truck drove into the First Interstate Bank branch building near the Eastridge Mall.

Joe Nickerson with the Casper Police Department, says the ATM inside the building had been tampered with.

"We've got some preliminary video footage in, that shows a pickup truck backed through the wall, of the ATM vestibule, and then at least two suspects exited the pickup and attempted to steal the ATM machine. They were unsuccessful and left the area shortly after arriving."

The suspects have not yet been identified.

Anyone who may have been in the area at the time and saw a light colored pickup truck, is asked to contact the Casper Police Department.
