The Casper Police Department has declared today a "snow day," according to a news release from detective John Hatcher.

Aside from the obvious, namely the snow itself, "snow day" means if people are involved in a non-injury vehicle accident they should exchange information with the other driver including driver's license, insurance, and description -- color and make -- of the other vehicle.

Those involved in an accident can report it at the Police Department, 201 N. David St., between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday.

If they are involved in a multi-vehicle accident, an accident involving injuries, or a hit and run accident, they need to call the Police Department at 911 and an officer will respond to the accident.
