A Casper man will head to prison after being convicted of possessing child pornography.

In Natrona County District Court on Friday, district judge Catharine Wilking sentenced 21-year-old Andrew Hibschweiler to three to five years in prison on one count of possession of child pornography. Wilking also recommended boot camp for Hibschweiler.

Investigators say a computer technician found several child pornography files on Hibschweiler’s computer in November. According to court documents, Hibschweiler then admitted to police that he thought he deleted the files after downloading them.

Hibschweiler pleaded guilty to his lone child pornography possession charge in February.

In a prepared statement read in the courtroom by his attorney, Hibschweiler said that he was sorry for actions he called "inexcusable." He then said that he would be a better citizen in the future.

Wilking also ordered Hibschweiler to submit a DNA sample.
