An 18-year-old Casper man is charged with three counts of armed burglary, one count of burglary and one misdemeanor count of possession of a controlled substance, relating back to a series of automobile break-ins from last summer.

Izak Ronald Hatton made his initial appearance in Circuit Court on Monday, wearing an orange jail jumpsuit as well as wrist and ankle shackles.

Police paperwork says that an investigation into Hatton began after an individual, to whom Hatton had sold a "couple of firearms," told police that he believed the firearms to be stolen.

During the course of the investigation, police say that Hatton admitted to having stolen several items from vehicles around the city during the early part of the summer, including at least three guns, several GPS devices, a security system, electronics and other valuables.  Some of the valuables are believed to have been recovered from Hatton's home and vehicle.

Hatton is currently in custody awaiting a $25,000 cash or surety bond, and is awaiting a preliminary hearing in the case.
