A Casper man died in a single-vehicle rollover crash on Friday, according to the Wyoming Highway Patrol.

Jerry A. Fernandez, 44, was driving a pickup northbound on Interstate 25 when he failed to properly negotiate a left-hand curve about six miles north of Casper at 8:54 p.m., according to the news release by Sgt. David Wagener.

The pickup left the highway, overcorrected and entered the median where it tripped and rolled multiple times. Fernandez was ejected during the crash as he was not wearing his seat belt. He died at the scene.
Contributing factors are still under investigation for this crash.
This marked the 21st highway fatality in Wyoming for 2015. A previous fatal crash from February 19th has been determined not to have met the Wyoming Highway Patrol's criteria as a fatal crash.
