A Casper man died in a crash on Highway 220 a half mile from Alcova this (Monday) morning. Left roadway for reasons unknown:

According to a release from the Wyoming Highway Patrol, David L. Taylor, 49, was traveling westbound a little after 11 am, when his 1990 Jeep Wagoneer drifted across the eastbound lane and left the roadway.

The Highway Patrol narrative says the Wagoneer struck a concrete culvert with enough force to loft a distance of 136 feet before landing front first, to then tumble end over end. The vehicle came to rest on its roof. Taylor was wearing his seat belt and was declared dead at the scene.
