A Casper man is denying claims that he possessed and attempted to transmit child pornography.

Dane Deric Sundquist entered not guilty pleas to child pornography possession and transmission charges in Natrona County District Court on Friday.

According to prosecutors, police downloaded child pornography files from Sundquist's computer through a peer-to-peer network in February.

During the execution of an arrest warrant in March, Sundquist, according to court documents, told authorities that he, at one point, did search for child pornography but had since deleted the files from his computer. However, prosecutors say, during a forensic investigation of Sundquist’s computer, additional child pornography was found.

If found guilty, Sundquist may face up to 12 years in prison on the transmission charge and up to 10 years on the possession charge. He is free on $10,000 bond awaiting trial.
