A Casper man could face up to 215 years in prison if convicted and sentenced at the maximum on five counts brought against him Monday in Natrona County Circuit Court.

J.A. McCullough, 31, is charged with five sex crimes against a child, including four counts of sexual abuse of a minor in the first degree. He could face up to 200 years in prison and $40,000 in fines if convicted on those counts alone.

Court documents say on Friday, Dec. 9, a victim less than thirteen years old was taken to Wyoming Medical Center.

The hospital conducted a sexual assault examination, found signs of sexual intrusion on the victim and reported the suspected abuse to the Natrona County Sheriff's Office.

Court documents say the alleged abuse had been going on for three years, and had taken place at several different locations within Natrona County.

The victim reportedly told investigators she was concerned that McCullough would do the same thing to another child.

According to an affidavit, McCullough spoke with an investigator Friday afternoon. He allegedly said he had sex with the victim as many as 40 or 50 times.

He also allegedly admitted to abusing the victim on 6-12 other occasions.

McCullough's bond was set at $500,000 cash or surety Monday.
