A former employee of a Casper vehicle dealership accused of taking money from the business, has changed his original "not-guilty" plea.

Scott Middleton changed his plea to guilty on one charge of larceny by bailee.  The plea-change is considered a "cold plea" as it was not part of a plea bargin

Investigators say in mid-April, Middleton was the Financial Manager at White’s Mountain Chevrolet, where he took an $8,000 down payment from a customer but never turned it in.

Prosecutors say he later told police that he had spent it and was also bouncing checks to prepare for his wedding.

Middleton will face sentencing at a later date.
