A firefighter who suffered a massive stroke last week is improving. Adam Longo was moved out of the Intensive Care Unit Tuesday and into a private room. The Natrona County Fire District issued a release indicating Longo’s family is requesting no visitors at this time.

Longo was driving a squad truck back to the station after a grass fire off of Salt Creek Highway last Thursday when the stroke came on.

Longo has started physical therapy, but according to the release, has a long, difficult road ahead. His family has set up a post office box for anyone wishing to send cards or to donate funds to help cover his recovery and medical expenses.
