The Casper College Occupational Therapy Assistants Club will be holding a fundraiser obstacle course on Sunday, Oct. 7 from 2 to 5 p.m.

“Come Lose Your Senses” will feature a variety of fun obstacles with a bit of a twist: participants will go through each obstacle with one of their senses disabled for each obstacle. The idea is to give participants an idea of what it is like to suffer from sensory processing disorder. Those suffering from SPD find it difficult to process and act upon information received through the senses, which creates challenges in performing countless everyday tasks, according to information provided by the SPD Foundation.

Club members hope to raise awareness and funds for the sensory processing disorder that affects both children and adults. In addition to the obstacles, the event will also feature educational tools and several raffles. The cost to participate in the obstacle course is $5 per person, or $20 for a group of five. All proceeds will go to the SPD Foundation.

Come Lose Your Senses will be held in the Liesinger Hall parking lot on the Casper College campus and is open to all ages.
