Current member of Casper City Council, Democrat, Kim Holloway is making a bid for the state legislature. Holloway challenges republican candidate, Jim Anderson, for the district 28 senate seat. Holloway says time spent working locally with Poverty Resistance, brought her in contact with a population that she feels are under represented. Her time on council reflects those concerns. Now she'd like to bring her voice to the political discussion in Cheyenne.

"Because I'm concerned that budget cuts are coming in the Department of Health and the Department of Family Services. These are agencies that these folks are usually intertwined with."

She says, as constituents and citizens, they have needs and their biggest need is for good paying jobs so that they can take care of themselves.
