Carroll Chiasson Sentenced For Sex Crime

A North Dakota man will be spending time behind bars after he admitted to having sexual relations with an underaged girl in Natrona County.

Carroll Chiasson was sentenced to 15-to-20 years in prison, after he pleaded guilty to one count of first degree sexual abuse of a minor.

The Natrona County Sheriff's Office says they were informed by police out of Colorado Springs, Colorado, that the acts took place in December 2010.

The victim claimed she had been molested by Chaisson, since she was six or seven years old and stopped about five years later.

Investigators were able to obtain a printout of Facebook messaging between Chaisson and the victim in 2014, but in some cases, a detective from Colorado Springs was posing as the victim.
