It's a step back in time to Christmas more than 150 years ago.  One of Casper's most beloved holiday traditions, the Candlelight Christmas at Fort Caspar, will be Saturday, December 2nd. Organizers say the fort buildings will be illuminated by candlelight, and re-enactors will be in the buildings and on the grounds giving a glimpse of Christmas back in 1865.

Historical activities will be taking place throughout the fort. You can talk to the soldiers, play a game of chance with the gambler, and shop at the general store. You're encouraged to bundle up for the weather, but if you need a warm-up you can find more activities inside the museum including crafts for the kids, exhibits, holiday shopping at the museum store along with free hot chocolate and cookies.
