Wyomingites wishing to run for U.S. Representative or state office have until 5 p.m. this Friday to file.

All candidates must file with the Secretary of State's Election Division to have their name put on the 2016 primary ballot.

"I believe we're going to see a record voter turnout," said Secretary of State Ed Murray.

"A rigorous campaign season is really healthy for our democracy and for our state," added Murray.  "I hope during the next five days we'll see a greater number of people file to run for office."

The candidate filing period began on May 12. Click here for the list of candidates who have filed to run for office so far.
