Fort Caspar Museum and its support group, the Fort Caspar Museum Association, again present “Candlelight Christmas at the Fort.”  This FREE, family-friendly event is an annual tradition and a great way to get in a holiday mood.  It will be held on two nights, Friday, December 5th and Saturday, December 6th, from 5:30 to 8:30 pm.  Join us for one evening—or come by for both!

Visitors will experience a 19th-century Christmas on the frontier.  Dress warmly to enjoy the Fort by candlelight and meet army, pioneer, and mountain men re-enactors.  Talk to soldiers stationed at the fort, play a game of chance with a gambler, and get a feeling for what life was like 150 years ago.  Then, warm up inside the Museum with free hot chocolate and cookies, craft activities for the kids, and period music. Bring a camera to take your own snapshots in front of our Old West backdrop.  The Museum’s exhibit galleries and gift shop will be open for you to explore.

Admission to the “Candlelight Christmas” event is free to all.  For more information, call the Museum at (307) 235-8462, or visit the website at www.fortcasparwyoming.com.  Fort Caspar Museum is located at 4001 Fort Caspar Road.
