Cancer Diagnosis Prompts Fundraiser For Casper Firefighter

Captain Jeff Atkinson, a long time member of the Casper Fire Department, has been diagnosed with a rare, but beatable form of cancer. Jeff will be doing lots of travel to Colorado over the next couple of months.

The Casper Firefighters will be hosting a benefit garage sale on Sat. April 7th, beginning at 09:00 at Fire Station #3. All proceeds from the sale will be given to Jeff and his family for travel and other expenses. Donated items are being accepted until the day of the sale. Items can be dropped off at Fire Station #3 at the corner of 12th and Beverly. Casper Professional Firefighters Pipes and Drums will be donating proceeds from t-shirt sales at the event. Please come out and support one of your heroes, and may your thoughts and prayers join ours as they go out to Jeff and his family for a speedy recovery.
