CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — The American Association of Retired Persons plans to hold a brain health workshop in Sheridan.

The workshop is titled "Gray Matters: Training the Grownup Brain." It will be held in Sheridan from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 27 at the Holiday Inn as part of the annual meeting of the Wyoming Retired Education Personnel.

Experts at the workshop will answer questions about the brain as it ages. The AARP in Wyoming created the Gray Matters program in 2010 in response to a request from spellers in the AARP National Spelling Bee who wanted to learn more about how to keep their minds healthy as they age.

The workshop is free and open to the public.
