JACKSON, Wyo. --- A Florida man is unhurt after locking himself out of a motor home and then watching the vehicle roll down a mountainside west of Jackson.

Marvin Bass, of Pensacola, Fla., says he borrowed the 42-foot motor home from his best friend to travel to Yellowstone National Park.

The Jackson Hole News & Guide reports bass locked himself out after parking the motor home along Wyoming Highway 22 on Monday. Bass says he tried to climb in a window and accidentally released the brake with his belly.

Bass got out before the motor home started rolling. The motor home went off the road but kept upright as it rolled some 200 feet down a steep, boulder-strewn slope.

Bass says he texted his friend about the accident but hadn't heard back.
