The body of a man who disappeared in the North Platte River last week near Whitewater Park has been found.

At around 9:15 a.m. Monday, July 2nd, Casper Search and Rescue crews were combing the river near the area of North Center and M Streets, when the discovery was made.

Investigators have not yet released the identity of the man.

According to witnesses, last Tuesday June 26th, they said they saw a man in his mid to late 40′s, floating on a raft near whitewater park, when the raft capsized.

The man was then said to have grabbed onto debris and was swept downstream.
