The Deerwood Ranch, the Bureau of Land Management's (BLM) first wild horse ecosanctuary, is offering tours this summer. The 4,000 acre ranch, located about 30 miles west of Laramie, provides long term care for 227 wild horses.

Owners Rich and Jana Wilson will drive interested people around their ranch to view the wild horses on Friday and Saturday beginning June 28th and running through August 31st. Jana Wilson says they can take a minimum of two and a maximum of six people on th tours. There is a fee for the tours and because it is a working ranch, the tours will be conducted from 2:30 to 5 p.m. and need to be scheduled in advance. Wilson says special tours may be arranged upon request. Wilson says they are "excited to have people come and see the wild horses." She adds they are "really proud of the ranch and the home they are providing for these horses".
