A Casper man is denying that he slashed at another with a knife.

Kino Beman has pleaded not guilty to one charge of aggravated assault.

Police say in May, Beman walked in on Tyler Johnson and a female making out, when Beman then attacked Johnson, cutting him.

Beman admitted that at first he lied to police about the events of that night, then said he was trying to get the knife away from the female, and that she attacked Johnson.

Beman is free on ten-thousand dollars bond, awaiting trial.
