A Casper woman will spend some time in jail, for her involvement in a crash with a horse drawn covered wagon last summer, that resulted in the deaths of two horses.

Autumn Middleton was sentenced to serve two days in jail, after pleading no contest to one charge of careless driving.

Prosecutors say in July 2012, after the Central Wyoming Fair and Rodeo Parade,  Middleton hit the wagon from behind with her vehicle, on West First Street near Whitewater Park.

Two people inside the wagon suffered serious injuries.

Two horses had to be put down as a result of the collision.

Investigators with the Natrona County Sheriff's Office say there was no evidence of drug or alcohol abuse, or cell phone use that contributed to the crash.
