The driver of an SUV involved in a crash with a covered wagon that injured three people and resulted in the deaths of two horses last month, has been cited.

Lieutenant Mark Sellers of the Natrona County Sheriff's Office says a Mills woman faces misdemeanor charges following last month's crash on West Yellowstone Highway just west of Casper.

"The driver of the envoy, that hit the wagon has been charged. Autumn Middleton, age 22 has been charged with careless driving and following too close. There was no alcohol or drugs and we were waiting on cell phone records and there's no indication on the cell phone records that that played any part in this either."

Investigators say Middleton's SUV hit the covered wagon from behind.

Sellers said the collision happened just after noon on July 10th, and that the covered wagon and its occupants had just taken part in the Central Wyoming Fair and Rodeo Parade in downtown Casper.
