More than a hundred people showed up to Crossroads Park on Sunday to donate their time, energy, and money to the Grogan family of Casper and the Ronald McDonald House in Denver. Kellan Grogan was born with numerous health difficulties, so much so that he and his mother Sommer had to be life-lighted to Denver to deal with those issues. Kellan is fine now. He's a smiling, laughing, intelligent little boy with the light of the world in his eyes. Unfortunately, the costs that were built up were enormous, and the Grogan family wasn't quite sure how everything would be paid.
Kellan Grogan, the son of Tom and Sommer Grogan of Casper, was born on Christmas Eve 2010, and due to his health complications, had to be sent to Denver, CO via Air Life. Kellan, Tom and Sommer spent 3 months in Denver while Kellan healed from his numerous surgeries. While in Denver, Tom and Sommer were able to stay at the Ronald McDonald House, allowing them to be close to their son, while easing their financial burden.

The 19th Annual API Chili Cook-Off, held at the Casper Events Center, was one for the ages. Over 45 different kinds of chili were offered, not to mention the fact that nascar tickets, guns, and even cash prizes were offered in the raffle portion of the afternoon. It was all very Wyomingish, in the best sense of the word.
The 2011 Jackalope Jump was a roaring success. Dozens of people, wearing a myriad of costumes, jumped into freezing water, all to benefit Special Olympics Wyoming.
