You know it's a special occasion when rock, rap, country bands and more come together to put on a show. But a special occasion it was on Saturday night when band such as The Front, Dang Ol' Boys and more shared the stage for a concert benefitting women stricken with cervical cancer.
Some of the best parts about living in a small(ish) town are the times when the town can come together and celebrate certain things. It's during the times that we all get a sense of community spirit. Speaking of spirit, the holiday spirit was in the air when the 2011 Holiday Square bore witness to it's traditional tree lighting ceremony.
On Saturday November 19, weather pending, Dirt Busters Car Wash, located next to Loaf N' Jug in Paradise Valley, will be offering a free car wash from 10:00-3:00. Donations will be accepted, with the proceeds going to benefit two Natrona County High School students who are battling cancer.
The 2011 Trick or Treat Trail, presented by The Science Zone was most certainly a hit this year. Thousands of people came to the trail to collect candy and other assorted goodies, as well as participate in a haunted house and numerous other activities. Also, every child who attended the event had the opportunity to get their picture taken and show off their awesome costumes. Check out the photos:
It's that time of the year again boys and girls. Halloween is a time when the dead can return to the living, and we all wear costumes to blend in with each other. It's a time when magic and enchantment can happen, as we remember exactly how mystified we were by Halloween when we were children.
