Is there any home accessory more fought-over than the remote control? TV-loving dads have long had to establish that they are masters of their domain by commandeering the clicker from the kids.
But why should fathers settle for a remote that just changes the channels when they can have one that also opens a bottle of beer? Or tells time? Or is powered by their own wind?
This Father's Day, swap the traditional family remote for one of these babies that will have him channel surfing in style:
The A'Salt Creek Roller Girls had one heckuva Memorial Day weekend. On Saturday, they utterly domintated the Rushmore Rollerz and the Madhouse Madams, scoring well into 3 figures in each game. This double header was about as rough neck and hard hitting as it can get.
On Memorial Day, we commemorate all the U.S. soldiers who've died while serving our country. With so many of our servicemen and women currently on dangerous overseas assignments, it's also a time to think about their sacrifice, and the sacrifice of their families back home.
In these videos, families of soldiers get the surprise and relief of a lifetime when their loved ones return home from duty unannounced. You'll really want to grab a box of tissues before watching.
While summer doesn't officially start until June 21, Memorial Day marks the unofficial beginning to the hottest season at the movies.
Summer loses some of its meaning when you're an adult, since it no longer comes with a moths-long break from the grind.
Nevertheless, we can all still enjoy a good movie about summer vacations. After the jump, check out eight of our favorites.
Memorial Day marks the unofficial start of barbecue season and will find many Americans firing up the grill this holiday weekend.
Part of the beauty of grilling is its simplicity. But that shouldn't mean you can't improve your grill repertoire or technique.
We've compiled a list of recipes and tips that can help you become a master of the open flame.
Check them out after the jump.
Our first excursion during our stay at the Beaches Boscobel Luxury Included Resort and Golf Club was a catamaran cruise on the beautiful and exciting oceans after a morning full of "liquid sunshine."
The highlight of the cruise was lying on the "trampoline" on the front, a series of criss-crossed ribbons that form a webbing with nothing but ocean several feet beneath, and being splashed as the catamaran crested the waves. We also stopped for a while to swim in the ocean, which was surprisingly warm, and even found a starfish and several sea urchins by diving down to the bottom. On the short ride back to the resort, the crew taught us some Jamaican dancing, and the DJ mixed in a few fun American songs for us to enjoy.
