I’ve been doing radio in some way since the age of 16, first cutting my teeth in my hometown of Soldotna, Alaska, doing play-by-play for high school hockey. From there, I gravitated toward radio news and sports coverage, doing civic reporting for a National Public Radio station in East Lansing, Mich., then doing news, sports and on-air work for a number of stations in Havre, Mont. Now, I'm a part of Wyoming's biggest and best radio news team. I’m a very proud alumnus of Michigan State University, where I studied broadcast journalism. At MSU, I did news updates for the campus radio station. I also dabbled in TV, producing the EMMY Award-winning on-campus news program. I also did hockey play-by-play and filmed athletics press conferences for the Big Ten Network and its website. For my efforts, I picked up a few awards, most notably from the Society of Professional Journalists and the Michigan Association of Broadcasters.
