A Charlotte, North Carolina man has been charged for the murder of Cheyenne businessman Dave Doyle.

Doyle, who was the co-owner of Tyrrell-Doyle Auto Center, was found stabbed to death in his Charlotte home on July 19.

On Friday, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police charged 38-year-old Peter Jay Gould, Jr. with murder, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to commit serious injury, conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon, first-degree burglary, kidnapping, robbery with a dangerous weapon and larceny of an automobile.

Gould is currently in the custody of the Union County Sheriff's Office on unrelated charges.  There is no current timetable on when he will be transferred to the Mecklenburg County Jail.
