A Mills man who prosecutors say took part in an armed robbery of a Casper liquor store waived his right to a preliminary hearing on Tuesday.

Prosecutors allege 20-year-old Arthur Brown threatened an employee of Moonlight Liquors and two other victims with a semi-automatic handgun during an armed robbery attempt on April 14 before he and 20-year-old Shannon Mares ran out of the store.

After the robbery attempt, prosecutors say both Brown and Mares were chased by an employee of the store until they both disappeared behind an apartment building near 10th Street.

Brown, Mares and a third man, 30-year old Pete White, were charged with several felonies, including aggravated assault and armed robbery.

Brown’s case will now move to Natrona County District Court.

Brown is being held at the Natrona County Detention Center on $50,000 bond. He faces up to 25 years in prison on each felony count if convicted.
