Off and on showers will continue in Casper today and also cross the rest of the state this afternoon and tonight.  The higher elevations will see a rain/snow mix to all snow.   There will continue to be pockets of strong mainly west winds in portions of southeastern and central Wyoming.  Casper will make it into the 40s to near 50 this afternoon with lows in the 30s tonight (20s on Casper Mountain).

Day showers are expected statewide on Saturday, with mixed showers to all snow at night.  The precipitation will intensify late Saturday into Sunday as a cold front moves through the state.   Showers will mix with and switch to all snow in the lower elevations Saturday night into Sunday morning.  For now it looks like Casper will be on the edge of the heavier precipitation and snow, but a couple of inches of wet snow will be possible in town with more on Casper Mountain.

Livestock growers and travelers need to be aware of deteriorating weather conditions late Saturday into Sunday.  A Winter Storm Watch has been issued for portions of southeast Wyoming from late Saturday night through Sunday morning.  Driving conditions along eastern portions of I-80 will become very challenging.  Sunday will also be a colder day.  Highs in Casper on Sunday will struggle to make it out of the 30s.
