Apartment Fire in Mills [AUDIO]

Crews from multiple emergency departments respond to a structure fire in Mills.

At a quarter to five Thursday morning, emergency crews from Mills, Casper, and Natrona County responded to a report of a structure fire in a four-plex apartment located in the 5000 block of West Paige Street in Mills WY.

Fire crews made entry into the vacant apartment and found fire burning in the kitchen area. The fire was quickly contained before it could spread to the adjoining apartments.

All occupants were able to evacuate the other apartments with no injuries although, one firefighter suffered a sprained ankle.

An electric stove burner that was left on was determined to be the cause of the fire.
