In a surprise development, Anthony Scaramucci, the new head of White House Communications, resigned his post today according to multiple sources including ABC and the New York Times.

CBS is reporting he was actually removed from the job by President Trump.

Reports say that it came at the request of the new chief of staff, General John Kelly.

This follows a week of controversy including a profanity-filled phone call to a reporter about former White House Chief of Staff, Reince Priebus.
