Amber Mefferd Sentenced In Prostitution Case

A Fremont County woman has been sentenced for her role in a prostitution bust.

Amber Mefferd was given a one year suspended jail sentence, and one year of probation, after pleading no contest to 2 prostitution related charges.

Prosecutors allege in late September of 2011, Casper Police found an online ad offering companionship and several other ads for different women, all with the same phone number, which belonged to Mefferd.

She also provided a link to a review website, which said she had engaged in previous prostitution acts.

Mefferd and another woman met with undercover agents, and were arrested a short time later.
