Laramie County Clerk Debra Lee says so far almost 2000 county voters have either voted absentee or asked for an absentee ballot.

She says that includes about 600 people who have voted early in the Laramie County Complex Atrium.

Lee says another 1000 people have asked for an absentee ballot, and about 200 have voted in local nursing homes as part of the county's voter outreach program.

Absentee voting in Laramie County started on July 1 and will end on August 15, which is the day before the state's primary election.

The hours for voting in the Atrium are Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 4:45 p.m. People who are not registered to vote in Wyoming can do so in the Atrium before voting.

Absentee ballots are available by emailing tory@laramiecounty clerk.com.

Absentee voting will also be held ahead of this fall's general election in November.
