A 17-year-old wanted in connection with a stabbing that occurred at the Events Center had her initial appearance in court in Casper Thursday. Initial appearance in Circuit Court:

Allyson SixFeathers is charged as an adult in a March 5th melee that sent a man to the hospital with a punctured lung.

SixFeathers was charged with aggravated assault and assault with a deadly weapon.

According the narrative read in open court, witnesses contend that SixFeathers approached the victim from behind and stabbed him in the back.

One witness described a sound like a punch and alleged that SixFeathers pushed at the back of the victim with her free hand to pull out the knife before leaving the scene.

Also according to court testimony, SixFeathers was briefly detained by security at the Casper Events Center but was soon released as staff and law enforcement dealt with the chaos of the fight or fights that was thought to have involved as many as 100 people during a high school basketball tournament.

Assistant District Attorney John Miner recommended that bond be set at 100,000 dollars because of the seriousness of the crime and the injury to the victim, describing the assault as life threatening. DA Minor also asked the judge for a no-contact order with the victim.

Circuit Court Judge Michael Huber set bond at 50 thousand dollars cash or surety.
