The Kelly Walsh boys and girls as well as the Natrona boys and girls punched their ticket to the State Soccer tournament in Jackson after the 4A West regional in soggy Green River over the weekend. The Kelly Walsh boys earned a #3 seed and will take on Cheyenne East in the opening round on Thursday afternoon. The Trojans come into the tourney with a record of 12-4-2 after a loss to Rock Springs and a win over NC in that 4A West regional. Cheyenne East comes in at 8-10-1. The Natrona boys defeated Jackson and then absorbed losses to Green River and KW in that regional tournament so the Mustangs will be a #4 seed. NC has a record of 8-9-1 and play 17-1-1 Thunder Basin in the quarterfinal round.

On the girls side, Kelly Walsh secured a #3 seed with a loss to Jackson and a win over Natrona in the 4A West regional. The Lady Trojans are 12-5-1 and will draw Cheyenne Central in the first round on Thursday. Central comes into the state tournament with a record of 15-2. The Natrona girls who struggled for most of the season qualified for state with a 4-1 win over Green River in the opening round of the regional tournament. The Fillies ended up losing to Rock Springs and Kelly Walsh to grab the #4 seed at state. NC at 5-10-1 will play Thunder Basin in the opening round and the Bolts are 17-2 on the season. The State Soccer tournament runs through Saturday in Jackson.
