All 4 Casper Schools Qualify for 4A State Tournament

The four Casper high school basketball teams all qualified for this year's State 4A Tournament that will begin on Thursday at Casper College. The Kelly Walsh boys are a #1 seed and will play Cheyenne Central in the opening round on Thursday at 1pm. the Trojans are 18-3 on the year with wins over Natrona and Rock Springs in the 4A West Regional over the weekend. The Natrona boys with a record of 4-19, qualified for state with a win over Green River on Thursday at that 4A West regional. The Mustangs will be a #4 seed and will take on Gillette at 9pm at Casper College. On the girls side, Natrona finished 2nd in that 4A West regional after a 1 point loss to Rock Springs so the Fillies will be a #2 seed and will open with Cheyenne Central at 9am at the college. NC is 16-6 on the season. The Kelly Walsh girls lost twice at regionals so they go to state as a #4 seed. The Lady Trojans draw Gillette at 10:30am on Thursday, also at Casper College. KW currently sports a record of 11-10.
