A Casper man has admitted to his role in a drug deal gone bad.

Nineteen year old Steven Spearman has pleaded guilty to one charge of conspiracy to commit robbery.

Investigators with the Casper Police Department say in December, Spearman and two others had a plan to rob a man selling drugs to them in the Landmark Drive area.

One of the men that was supposed to be a lookout, walked in at the wrong time and was shot.

Spearman drove the shooting victim to the hospital.

When police arrested Spearman, he admitted to had happened.

As part of a plea deal, prosecutors will seek no more than a four-to-six year prison sentence, with a boot camp recommendation.

If Spearman completes the boot camp program, his sentence could be reduced.

He will be sentenced at a later date.
