Andrew Melikian Pleads Guilty To Aiding And Abetting A Robbery

A Casper man has admitted he played a role in the mugging a man that was cleaning out a car.

Andrew Melikian has pleaded guilty to one amended count of aiding and abetting a robbery (originally charged with one count of accessory before the fact to aggravated robbery, one count of conspiracy to commit aggravated robbery, one charge of obtaining property under false pretenses and one count of possession of a controlled substance).

Investigators with the Casper Police Department say in middle September 2015, a man told police he was cleaning a friend’s car near East Fourth and South Park Streets, when he heard footsteps behind him and a male voice said, “‘give me your money.”

The victim turned around, saw a man with a bandanna on the lower part of his face, and a pistol with a long barrel pointed at him.

The victim later contacted police and said his debit card was used at a convenience store

Officers reviewed a store video that showed Raechel Holmes along with Melikian.

Holmes later said she and Melikian were present at the robbery, and Melikian along with Nicholaus Harford, who planned it.

As part of a plea deal, prosecutors will seek no more than a six-to-eight year prison sentence for Melikian.

He is being held without bond, and will be sentenced at a later date.

Meanwhile Harford has pleaded not guilty to charges connected to this case, and is awaiting trial.
