A Casper man was charged with two counts of second-degree child sexual assault during his initial appearance in Natrona County Circuit Court on Monday.

Jeremy Morgan was distraught, saying he knows he made a mistake and had not been in trouble with the law for 10 years.

Morgan also said he had put his life savings into building his business, and could not afford the $100,000 bond proposed by Assistant District Attorney Alan Dees.

Circuit Court Judge Michael Patchen said he would set Morgan's bond at $75,000, but could go no lower, he said. "These are extremely serious allegations."

If convicted, Morgan could face up to 20 years imprisonment on each charge.

According to an affidavit filed in circuit court, a girl approximately 10 years old told her mother that Morgan had done something bad to her. The girl is not a direct relation to him.

The girl was interviewed at the Children's Advocacy Project and described how Morgan touched her and how he made her touch him.

Morgan was later interviewed at the Casper Police Station, and was reported crying about how he knew he "messed up."
