Casper police arrested two people for burglarizing two vehicles parked at the Eastridge Mall on Monday, according to court documents.

Sean Elliot Kinion and Jana Renea Bower made their initial appearances in Natrona County Circuit Court on Wednesday.

Kinion was charged with one count of burglary and one count of conspiracy to commit burglary. Conviction of each count carries a 10-year prison term.

Kinion's bond was set at $5,000, which is on top of a $1,500 bond for an earlier arrest for interference and two counts of possession of a controlled substance.

Bower was charged with one count of being an accessory after the fact to burglary and one count of conspiracy to commit burglary.

Her bond was set at $5,000.

They will have preliminary hearings within a few weeks to determine whether their cases should be bound over to Natrona County District Court for trial.

The case began on Monday when police responded to a report of an auto burglary in the parking lot on the east side of the Eastridge Mall, according to court documents.

An employee at the mall was in the food court and heard what sounded like breaking glass in the parking lot. She saw a male taking a package from the broken driver's side window of a sport utility vehicle. He then got into the passenger side of a car that had stopped beside the SUV. The female driver then drove west.

The owner of the burglarized SUV told police she had locked her vehicle and left her purse in a collapsible cloth box on the driver's seat.

This burglary was similar to one that occurred that same afternoon at the mall.

Through a source, police learned Bower owned the vehicle. Police located Bower and Kinion at Bower's Richard Street address.

They agreed to meet with officers at the police station downtown.

After being advised of her rights, Bower said she was with Kinion when he stole the purse.

After being advised of his rights, Kinion started talking until officers asked him about the stolen purse

The woman whose purse was taken from the SUV identified it as hers.
