90th Missile Wing At FE Warren AFB Celebrates 50th Anniversary

Members of the Mighty Ninety at FE Warren Air Force Base, are kicking off celebration events of the upcoming 50th anniversary of the 90th Missile Wing with a grand opening of the Warren ICBM and Heritage Museum at 9:30 a.m., June 29.

A ribbon cutting ceremony will mark the opening of the museum in its new building and recognize a half century of the Wing's dedication to the mission of national defense through nuclear deterrence.

July 1, 2013 marks the 50 year anniversary of the 90th Strategic Missile Wing being reactivated as the first wing whose sole mission was intercontinental ballistic missile operations.
