It's a celebration of decades of enjoying the beauty of the Christmas season while helping a special cause. The 30th annual "Festival of Trees" to benefit Special Olympics Wyoming takes place on Tuesday, November 27th, with the "Teddy Bear Tea"  leading the way on Sunday, November 25th.

The Teddy Bear Tea is a "sneak peek" to the Festival of Trees, an afternoon event for kids and families to admire the unique and extravagantly decorated trees, visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus, enjoy hot tea and cookies, and vote for their favorite tree for "People's Choice".

That takes place Sunday, November 25th, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at the Central Wyoming Fairgrounds Industrial Building. Admission is a brand new Teddy Bear for the "Teddy Bear Tree".

The 30th Annual Festival Of Trees Gala will be Tuesday, November 27th. It's an auction of the fully decorated trees, wreaths, and stockings, as well as other items donated by local businesses and individuals. It starts at 6:00 p.m. with the silent auction, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. The live auction begins at 7:00 p.m. and lasts until about 9:00 p.m.

The trees are purchased and decorated by local organizations, businesses, or individuals and then live-auctioned with the proceeds going to Special Olympics Wyoming.

The goal is "raise much needed funds and awareness for Special Olympics Wyoming's statewide programs while educating an audience of more than 500 guests about the mission of the organization," according to Special Olympics Wyoming.

Tickets: $50.00 per person or $75.00 per couple, and are available at any Casper First Interstate Bank, Jonah Bank or the Special Olympics Wyoming Office. You can also purchase them online HERE.
