It's here! Finally!

Casper's 14th Annual Film Festival is set to commence on May 5th, 2012. The screening is scheduled for a 1:00pm start time at the Rialto Theatre here in Casper, Wyoming.

Tickets are $10 per person.

Pre-sale is available at Natrona County High School until Wednesday May 2nd, 2012.

After May 2nd, pre-sale will be available at the Rialto Movie Theatre.

The festival will feature a hand picked selection of films produced by Wyoming students. Those films that are selected to be screened will then be judged by a panel of industry professionals. Scholarships will be awarded to the winners chosen by the judges.

Film Workshops

And Mr. Madz and his crew are happy to announce the 2012 Film Workshops for this year's festival. This years workshops will be held Friday May 4th from 8:00 am until 3:00 pm at the FOX Theater. These workshops will be hosted by professionals from different fields within the Industry.

K. Harrison Sweeney will present “Working and Acting in Hollywood” from 8 to 11 a.m. Sweeney will cover the essentials of acting for the camera and, if time allows, talk about networking required to get your independent film distributed.

Dick Grunert will present “Screenwriting and the Art of the Pitch” from 8 to 11 a.m. A writer on Cartoon Network’s “Adventure Time,” Grunert will share the 10 things every aspiring screenwriter needs to know.

Michael Champion will cover creating a character, scene study, preparation, improvisation and more in his seminar from 12:15 to 3 p.m.

Patrick Tempest will present “Sound Design and Techniques” from 12:15 to 3 p.m. He will discuss the importance of sound in film and TV. He will lead participants in hands-on exercises in foley, booming, “making your SFX pop” and more. He has worked on “Deal or No Deal,” “Top Chef,” and “Project Runway.”

Trevor Wroble is a professional cinematographer who heads a mult-media production company, Desh, based in Wyoming. He will present his workshop at 12:15 to 3 p.m.
