CASPER, Wyo. (AP) — The 100th annual Wyoming State Fair kicks off Saturday in Douglas.

The annual event runs through Aug. 18.

This year's edition of the fair includes new events such as a sheep wagon contest, a fiddlers contest, coolest pickup truck contest and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

Fairgoers can enjoy the usual entertainment lineup and carnival, along with various exhibits.

Also, the Wyoming Business Council plans to showcase Wyoming authors, vendors and producers throughout the week at the Wyoming Mercantile located on the Midway at the State Fairgrounds.
